Ending Homelessness Starts Here
Each year, First Day helps more than 2,000 individuals and families experiencing homelessness transition to stable housing and self-sufficiency. Through compassionate support and essential services, we create pathways to lasting change.
About Us
Since 1989, founded by a coalition of concerned Whittier residents, First Day serves communities across Los Angeles County, with a strong presence in both SPA 7 and SPA 5. Guided by a vision of a healthy, safe, and vibrant community, we promote stability through housing, health, employment, and civic engagement while remaining grounded in our values of compassion, respect, integrity, collaboration, empowerment, and innovation.
